Does anybody know how much snow we can expect in this area? Anybody else interested in some snowshoeing?

See you guys tomorrow at 8am...

Felix
I'm bringing my xcountry skiis in search of some snow. If you want to climb a bit or just play around at Chilliwack lake I'm interested. It's 621 meters high and there should be enough snow there. Will Toni (sp?) snowshoe as well?

Maryna can't make it due to work and I have a ton of work to do this weekend but I'll get out and play tomorrow for the day.

I don't have any camping/snow gear. It's all up in whistler so it will be just me and the Safari or Turtle.

Confirmed meeting place Ikea coquitlam 8am ?

Felix or Wayne please pm me your phone # just in case I'm too early :-D or late and need to catch up to you guys.

Just got back from a fun day with the group. I couldn't stay overnight so I just ended up staying for dinner & desert, which we're both amazing :M Thanks food people !

The others will get more pictures. There was some fun to be had on the trails and at the camp.

Felix will have some juicy pictures to add regarding a certain creek crossing. :-D

Just got home. Had a fantastic time hanging out with everyone, despite a bit of rain 8-) Exploring was fun, some nice challenging mud/ice/snow, and the meals at camp were fabulous.

Did some more exploring today, no issues to report :? , made it home safe and sound (a bit soggy and muddy though).

I'll have photos and videos later.

Josh

That was the wettest, trickiest and longest vehicle recovery I've been part of, but glad everything turned out well. :M

Well, that was lovely weekend. 6 vehicles, 5 stayed overnight (Jesse left after the gourmet dinner).

Our first Gourmet Feast weekend, Wayne as organiser you have now raised the standards for our deli treks.

Wayne brought a full size bbq (remove the seats, use a folding cot for sleeping on, and bring the big manly bbq and 2 propane cans). The bbq kept our tarp city warm and dry (2 sides blocked by the delis with roof racks to tie the trap to, third side blocked by another tarp, fourth side open to the fire.

Wayne used the bbq to cook his baked potatoes for all, which now rank as my favourite camp food (no more instant mash packets for the TardisDeli crew). served with fresh chopped chives and sour cream and real butter, yum yum. The TardisDeli contributed Turkey Rice stew in a cast iron dutch oven pot, homemade prebaked scones, etc.

Fexlboi Felix and Toni served a fresh fruit buffet, precut into separate containers so fussy eaters could choose their favourites from pomegranate, pineapple, blueberries, grapes, asian pear, bartlett pear, peeled apple, etc, served with 3 types of organic prebiotic yogurt (I chose the full cream version, ymmy).

Breakfast was a superb magnificent full feast by RichD and Maria. On a coleman stove they cooked a full menu for 8 people (wow, I would not attempt that many foods for just 2). We enjoyed fresh sauteed red onion and hashbrowns. Heaps of real bacon. Fluffy mounds of perfectly cooked scrambled egg. Yummiest golden brown pancakes, mixed from scratch with real Avalon Dairy buttermilk, served with a butter and a variety of syrups. So much food, even Jay was full (second and third helpings).

Jesse, Josh, so much other food and beverages shared, more than I can list.

Oh, and Dave's chainsaw was very much appreciated. The guys went off into the woods hunting firewood, which made a testosterone filled end of day activity after their 4x4 offroading fun. Dave and Heather, hope you can accompany your chainsaw on the next trip.

Thanks for all the photos and memories.
Thanks Jesse for the wonderful present of winter gloves for me, they are perfect.

Fly Fishing anyone ... Thanks Wayne for the long term loan of my very own flyrishing rod. Who else want to go, or wants to learn, or can teach ... I think its the next Delica group activity.

Cheers, Christine.
