Love all the ideas.. keep em coming, I like the ideas of more meets, even if its just a few of us to go do something cool! Id love to find out about more areas I hav'nt been. maybe i'll even pick up a fishing rod.
Id like to put it out there for whoever is intereseted in a challenging 4x4 trip this summer in the caribou/ chilcountin. you would have to pack fuel, have recovery equipment, etc.. I have driven this route before and it's fairly mellow, but would like to explore deeper.
I will guarntee epic views and adventure, im not selling this one as a mass meet so PM if your interested in going late july-early aug?? max 4-5 vans.

Lets camp at Toquart Bay nearish to Tofino, via the Valley Link Road (Courtenay to Alberni). Then Bamfeild/Renfrew backroute, Ending up in Victoria. Or, Port Hardy to Bamfeild, no pavement (needs lotsa time for that one though). I think the guys/gals east of the rockies might want to post some enticing ideas and routes from their area. I'm certain there is some awesome backcounty west of 22X south from Calgary??
possible summer meet..
:P good idea pete and jackie, toquart is a nice spot, even mussel beach closer to ucluelet is pretty neat, i never took those back roads around courtney to port alberni, thats a good plan, and then down to vic thru the back roads around bamfield to cowichan lake..

I'm up for anything in the interior. We can use my place as a start/middle/end point. There are a lot of trails up here. A couple of possibilities include Likely - Yank's Peak - Barkerville - return back road to Likely. The Alexander Mackenzie Trail. Or some other route such as Micth suggests. For Albertans, Williams Lake is about 11 hours from Calgary or Edmonton.

Sounds great so far;
• one west coast meet - Bamfield or Toquart Bay are sweet ideas. I camped every summer as a lad at Toguart, awesome memories! Should we bring a boat and crab traps??
• one Central BC trip in the Boo, have James’s as our jumping off point. I will be in the Caribou fishing from June 22 to July 1st, wouldn’t mind an excuse to stay up longer. Those trips sound great James, love that Yank's Paek - Could the Deli's do that road?
