Informal meet Victoria
So I was thinking of having an informal meet to see who I've been waving to and swap some info on local Delica resources etc.
I want to keep it simple so I thought a sunday morning 11am -noonish or one(doesn't ruin a whole day) on the beach at Esquimalt Lagoon. Park about halfway down the beach ,walk the dog ,shoot the breeze.
How about July 8 . Anybody interested?

Wow you beat us on the announcement.... , Docsavage, BCDelica and I were just tossing around the idea of a meet in Williams Lake for the 7th of July... hmmm. Anyhow, either way I can't make it to Victoria. But thanks for the invite!

Re: Informal meet Victoria
Hey Josh,
Count me in for a meet in William's Lake on or around the 7th! My family and I will be travelling North to Quesnel for about three weeks and that is an easy drive down.
It would be great to meet up with you guys.

Re: Informal meet Victoria
I think our Victoria meet post got hijacked to Williams Lake !!
What do you think about meeting at Clover Point (by Beacon Hill Park) or some place more open (and better parking)?? Then the world could see our weird machines - and we could peruse each others. Just a thought, but it's early, I may get another thought later today after I've had more coffee.

I'm up for a gathering. something simple though. I like the Clover Point idea. Coffee. Kick some tires.

I have yet to pick mine up - but would like the opportunity to have a peek at some others and ask some questions

Ya I just thought of Esquimalt lagoon cuz it's never crowded and there is loads of parking ( also around the corner from my house) So how about if we get one more vote for Cloverpoint we make it there? I'll bring donuts

Re: Informal meet Victoria
not a bad idea, i was out in town today and saw 5 delicas in a couple of hours. we're taking over....bwahhahhaa
i'd be, in, but i'll be living on an island in kyuquot sound as of the 4th for the summer, so if it's the 7th - no dice for me.
i'm still getting asked about my van every time i drive it, it's been called everything from a toaster on wheels to in the words of one logging truck driver over the radio 'some kind of frickin' mini-van, nuts deep in the mud.'

Re: Informal meet Victoria
I will be picking up my van this Wed from North Van and will be down in Victoria that weekend. Heading to the FIFA U-20 on Saturday so would love to join up for some good Delica talk on the Sunday. Wherever works just fine for me.
I will most likely be able to be convinced to drive anywhere once I get in the drivers seat of my Deli. Every trip will seem like an adventure I am sure.
3 more sleeps.

Re: Informal meet Victoria
I'm cool with the lagoon as it's probably better suited for us and will make a nice backdrop for a photo shoot if so inclined. Date?
