EAT & Greet : Esquimalt Lagoon, January 26th 2013

Hi folks!

I'm pretty new here but I'm really loving my new L300 and would love to get all the islanders together and show off a little community spirit! So i'm thinking about putting together a potluck/meet & greet so we can all show off our rides, discuss DELI-talk, and also enjoy some DELI-cious food! (I know, I know, just awful).

Here are the details:

Esquimalt Lagoon, (Ocean Blvd)
*Look for the other Delica's*
January 26th, 2013
12:00pm Noon
Potluck : EAT & GREET.

Post if you want to come, and also feel free to post what you'd like to bring for food! (So that we all don't bring chips & dip [although I would probably be okay with that])

Comments and suggestions are welcome. :)

Weather permitting (we are getting serious snow in Nanaimo as I type)...

we will try to bring the old hightop down (and it has new awning brackets just welded up :-D )

Cheers

Dude, you're driving a Delica, bad weather just makes the drive more fun! 8-)

Delica is not the problem...Nanaimo drivers make Vancouver drivers look good in the snow. :o

That makes more sense with all of the elderly people there.

Count me in! For those of you worried about the weather, may I suggest bringing a rain jacket. This is Victoria we are talking about; if we planned things around the weather we would never get anything done. 8-)

OK with rain...wet coast....

Snow is the worry...(remember we got hit today in Nanaimo (again))...sure it will be fine.

Ya I read the whole thread, that wasn't directed at you thedjjack. I agree, snow makes Islanders lose their minds and then they get themselves all sideways. I just like to bug people that live in Victoria but don't like doing stuff in the rain (which is most of the people I know). I might be considered a rain extremist though, as I still go camping in winter when it is raining

Victoria is fun because when we get our one or two days out of the year where it snows, everyone acts like its the end of the world and all the ditches are filled with cars, busses turned on their sides, and everythings shut down.

Tradition, gotta have it.

Excited about the meet though, glad we have a pretty good interest! And it's true P: You really can't ever plan anything around the weather in this city.

Bump
Just took the dog for a walk at Esquimalt Lagoon , they just regraded all the shoulder parking and filled in the puddles , nice wider bit about 1/3 of the way down from the Victoria end.
I think I'll bring my awning tent thing , I haven't tried it on this van yet.
See ya on Sunday
