Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Where to find part numbers for L300 rear brake drums?

Post by murdermitten »

Hello everyone, this is my first post, been a long time absorber of existing forum knowledge until now.

I'm stumped, with Partsbase.org not wanting to work anymore, I have been unable to look up or locate part numbers for rear drums, as mine are pretty beat up and need replacing.

Anyone have any look finding numbers for these parts? Shared with any Mitsubishi vehicles sold in North America?

Thanks for your help!

Morning!

There are a few alternative sites in the FAQ here: http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=9208

I've updated the "Part numbers and how to find them" post too http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=17210

So, Thank you so much for the PartSouq link, it actually has more detail than the Partsbase site did, at least for information the rear drums.

Found a part number, MB950951, but they're $180 USD a piece. When I entered the part number into my National Chain's database (AutoZone) it came up with a recommended part from a Montero 4WD....for $30 USD a piece.

The thing I remember is that Partsbase let you see what vehicles shared parts, where as PartSouq does not.

Anyone familiar with drums think these will fit?:

I'll go out and try to measure the rotor depth tonight after work!

The dimensions on the brake drum look about right, and they were used on a lot of vehicles... can you return the drums to Autozone if they're not right?

I *really* miss Partsbase's reverse part number lookup/cross reference ability.

Agreed. I really mis Partsbase.

Oh well, make do with what you have, right? I'll pick up the drums and give it a shot. Thanks everyone for your help!

Please report back and let us know if they fit- it's always good to have local part numbers confirmed :)

Just a note: The Lordco cross referenced parts number for the L300 brake shoes is not a perfect fit. The shoes fit, although the soles on the shoes are a little shorter than stock and the holes are not all in the correct places, in particular the lower spring holes so you need to drill new holes for the spring to reach.

Perhaps these? Does anyone *not* trust this site? (remember to use google translate!!) --- so far I've found it pretty amazing. I wish there was a convenient "download all" for that whole site.... just in case some server somewhere decides to die.

drums?:

new: MB950951
old: MB534245

the rest of the brake?:

perhaps that helps?

PS: Eric.... you're also in Portland!?!??!

I may be ordering a bunch of parts from Canada soon if you'd like to get in on that. Gotta trouble shoot some overheating issues first.

PM me... maybe lots to go over.
