Alignment after shock swap?

Alignment after shock swap?

Post by Ozibatla »

I just swapped out my front shocks(monroe550012) and wanna make sure if I need an alignment or not. I know the alignment is good coz I just had it done after some new tierod ends went in. Thanks

Not in my understanding. Shocks dont effect ride height, which, if changed, would require a front end alignment.

x2: New shocks don't require an alignment of the suspension system.

Tube Shocks don't carry any load they just dampen suspesion oscilations and smooth out the ride.

if you had struts...then you would need to an alignment because struts must be removed from their mount points to be swapped/repaired which directly affects tire alignment.

Hey, I know this is an older post, but can you tell me if the Monroes needed modification to fit your Deli, or did they go in without a problem?

I saw the part # in the wiki section, but then read a post from a member saying they're too long for a stock Deli.

Any help would be awesome.

Thanks.
