Hey Gang,
I need to drop in a new (single) battery, and I was wondering if anyone has a recommend for an easily available make/model?
I have tried searching the forums, but there are a LOT of posts that mention "battery" and "replacement" :)

Cheapest is Edmonds Batteries, Edmonds St Burnaby. largest battery that fits in the space available. Height is critical cuz the hold downs may not fit!!!!!!

Sask. Battery ( http://saskbattery.com/?gclid=CK2e5Pyxz ... QgodxUgAdw ) is THE place to buy a battery. They have several batteries that fit and have AGM and wet batteries if your local.

Go with an Odyssey Battery! I have Deep cycle one which is pretty expensive but will save big $$$ in the long run.

Hi, I'm also looking to replace mine. Looking to get the maximum cold cranking amps and handles intermittent usage. Any thoughts on what works in a L300? cheers!

I just dropped in a Sears die hard gold here in the US. Not sure if you have access to them up north, but it has 850 cca and starts my 1990 up just right. I bought the size that filled out my tray. I've got a red top in my 93' Land Cruiser that is 2 years old and doing fine. And from what I have found on Cruiser forums and Amazon reviews those Oddesey batteries are top of the heap. Nothing but great reviews on them. Bit pricey.

I would recommend an AGM battery. If you install lead acid battery, don't plan on taking any steep inclines or declines. Trust me. I had two lead acid batteries in my Chamonix and they off gassed! The resulting off gas melted the wiring harness near the driver's side battery and cost me some time having to rebuild the harness connectors. Go AGM! See my thread below for the damage.
