L300 Chamonix OEM Dual Battery size?

Post by pluckmyeyeout »

Anyone know what the BCI group number for the OEM Chamonix dual battery setup is? I measured my batteries that are in there and I've got roughly 10"x7"x7" for the size of each battery, which looks like a group 42, 58, 78, 90, or 100? But actually I don't know if I'm measuring the height to the top of the battery terminal or if I'm measuring to the top of the main body of the battery itself. If it's the to top of the pole, maybe add and inch or so? That looks like a 36R, 47, 56, or 97R

It's tough for me because I'm not 100% sure where I'm measuring from/to, especially the height. I figured I'd just bring my batteries into a shop and just match up the size, but also wanted to know what the OEM recommended size was.

Also, and probably more importantly, what's the recommended CCA?

What I'm using for a reference: http://www.batteryweb.com/bci.cfm

Thanks y'all.

I did some research recently: on L300 part list: 80D26R. This number are not standard in NA, from what I know but apparently = Group 24. Group 34 are of similar size as the original but just a bit lower (witch is OK) and are readily available everywhere too. There maybe more options...

I just installed two group 24 batteries in my Super Exceed. Fit perfect. 700CCA each.
