Transfer case cables...?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Transfer case cables...?

Post by ChuckBlack »

Just curious if anyone else out there has the transfer case cable colour coated? Just replaced my rear crank seal this weekend and as I was installing the cable back I realized mine are colour coated. Red for the top and yellow for the bottom cable.

Mine had rings of red and yellow tape under all the grease, it didn't actually occur to me that it was some kind of colour coding, but it would make sense on the production line. The cables are quite similar when dangling down.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
