Lower ball joint removal tool

Post by north54 »

Hey guys, gotta replace my lower ball joints. Anyone have a tried and tested ball joint tool they can provide a picture or link of? I'm finding a lot of different tools on the internet and wanna be sure I grab the right one before I rip apart my van on the street.

No pickle fork recommendations please. My neighbours are nosy enough as is without me pounding on the ball joint.

Happy Holidays.

I have a clamp style separator which works well. Put it in place, wind the bolt, and the tapers pop out with very little effort. Something like this one:

Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.
