I have both tanks out of an auto L300 and will be using the smaller one as a diesel tank on my L400 for starting/purging.

I'm going to take the guts out of the larger tank and try to use them in a 75L fuel tank for veg.

Does anyone have a link or details on which tank does what/wiring diagram/fuel line diagram ?

Thanks
I'm under my rig typing on an iPhone.

From what I can recall both tanks have a level float in them; the forward one is connected to the filler hose; and the tanks are connected with supply and vent tubes between them (i.e. the IP draws fuel out of both tanks by drawing on the forward tank). It's a complicated system that really should have been replaced with a single tank. Not sure why the two tanks, neither of which is 55 litre tank of the base model.

And yes, he can view pdfs on his iPhone. Cool, eh?

I looked through the 116 page PDF file on my iPhone which took 10 hours to flip through.

Talks about the ip and there forward.

No mention of tanks.

Someone must know which connection goes where.

That's a single tank for Pajero/montero.

Still can't find anything.

Will have to search when I get home tonight.

Was hoping someone has pulled the tanks and/or has the tech manual for them.

ah sorry about that, I saw the tanks in there but didn't look closely. I have dropped the tanks but I don't recall the details.

Ditto.

I've been searching on the net and can't find any reference.

Call me ignorant but I thought that some guys already pulled the tanks and worked on them here on the forum. :|

IMHO: what is shown in the two manual pages above are actually individual tanks (i.e. they are two separate tanks that are not part of a dual-tank setup). That being said, what you've got pictured in the OP are obviously from a two-tank system. Give me a bit to look at the drawings and the images and I'll see if I can figure it out.

Without seeing how it was fitted into vehicle, this is what I've come up with:
