Keep posting mates.

Thinking of doing a lift? Post.
Put in a new radio? Post.
Making a tent that attaches to your side door? Post - with pictures!!!

You get the idea.

I get the feeling there are more of us from Ontario than we think.

Well, now that you're posting in the Ontario Events Page... you're pretty much going to have to come up with an event, eh? You know, like a mini meet or something.

Falco.

is it still true that 50% of west coasters are from ontario?! lol.

i'll be checkin in, especially when we get our Delica if all goes well.

got ideas for rear storage/sleep deck, i've done one before on our cruiser, hopefully a setup that can fit 2 adults and toddler and a newborn with a hanging crib! anyway, just ramblin.

guess there are a bunch of lurkers and guys still waiting to get theirs. i hope this grows on our end, can't expect too many quebecers to join as rhd is already banned, so we gots to hold it down in ontario, well, southern ontario at least!

cheers.

I posted this in the other "Ontario" thread going on right now, but here is the storage/bed system we made last summer.

We don't have any kids :-D :-D :-D so this system works great for us. You might be able to make some sort of platform that would fit up front across the driver and passenger seat to accomodate for the little one (not the baby). You could then use one of those roll out self inflating mats up there.

Well, if we end up tree planting in B.C. this summer I will be taking the Delica to CVI for a new 2.5" stainless steel side exhaust system, and over to E&H Hitch for a trailer hitch (which will only be used for a bike rack, but still worth it). That's probably about it for this year even though, like all Delica owners, the list of mods it's quite long :-) I'm back in school and don't drive the Delica much, so i'm not going to invest too much into it right now (even though I really want to! :-D ). If we don't tree plant I may get an EGR blanking kit sent out and try to do that myself.

Anyone else do anything lately? It's pretty cold out...so probably not... any ideas for the spring?

Adam

if you want a good job done for a SS exhaust, i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend JPG exhausts in oakville, they do ridiculous work for cheap! they're big with the tuner crowd and everyone raves about them! 2.5" out the side would be peanuts for these guys. they're in oakville, just a suggestion! i guess thsi way, you've got good flow for the trip to BC! ;) but no knockin on CVI, im sure they'll do it straight too!

so yeah, would be nice to meet up in the springtime with ya'lls and hope this cult following grows more in our area.

Are you planning on a L300 or L400?

I wouldn't mind having the exhaust done locally, but I'd hate to drive the 2 hours just for them to say it's gonna be a week to make and then have to come back again. I guess we have friends in Milton, so it woudn't be a total waste of a trip.
It will be $800 installed at CVI, but I knowthey fit perfect without issues. Wonder what JPG would charge?

Well this is exciting. An Ontario meet would be very cool. Maybe in the spring?

A side exhaust on the L300 is quite simple and takes a good muffler shop about an hour to do it.

Just pick a good flow muffler and tip. It's just two pieces of pipe, muffler and tip if you use one.

Average prices are between 250-500 all in.

we're goin with an l400 after much debate.

back to teh exhaust, for a full job, about 800 (870 for my cruiser) i would think, all stainless steel with high flow muffler and resonator, custom done... but like what jfarsang mentioned, a short side exhaust will be a lot cheaper, depending on how many bends. they do mandrell bends. but get this, i took them 3 hours approx to do mine and i got a rental to boot, so you can hang with your buddies in milton and come back. so yeah, mornin or afternoon job most likely. these guys take huge pride in their work and are super honest.

hmm, maybe you can take pics of your exhaust and send it to them, then call after. this might be their first delica but these guys can easily get it done. if you want to save more, get aluminized instead of SS. if/when we get our delica and it'll need an exhaust, i'm goin back to jpg :)

We've been discussing a meetup in another thread. So far it seems we may do some logging roads up north, though nothing is definate yet.

I'll be picking up an air horn this weekend. I can't wait, almost got one for my motorcycle but declined for safety reasons.
