Help!

Yesterday Deloris started choking and now she won't go more than 2000 rpm. Engine seems to be running smooth but no pick-up-and-go. VERY sluggish. Still moves up through the gear as it gains speed. But no umph/jam when you hit the gas.

Has anyone had a similar issue?

Thanks
Brad

What does the exhaust look like? Does it stutter at all? Like a fuel problem?

Is this petrol or diesel? On a diesel it might be the boost line going to the injection pump- if that comes off or splits it'll act like a non-turbo engine (though I'd expect it to still rev past 2000rpm, eventually). Symptoms would include a new hissing noise from under the bonnet at high revs, and more black smoke out the exhaust than usual.

I'm guessing it starts and idles just fine.
Nothing says "poor workmanship" more than wrinkles in the duct tape.

Also check the Throttle Position Sensor.

Lots of posts, easy to tune up, makes a huge difference how the vehicle shifts. I do mine yearly as it starts to waver.
