Victoria to Bamfield

Post by oceaneer77 »

Hey we just returned from our weekend camping trip in Bamfield. We took logging roads from the top or lake Cowichan to Bamfield, via Francis lake.
Does anyone know why in the middle of know where near francis lake there is a 10K stretch of paved road? We just cant figure that out as the other roads are all gravel.

Anyway its a good trip and very well marked easy for any delica.

Thanks

Sounds like a good trip. That paved section may be part of the Circle Route which was complete a year or two ago: east side of the Island to Port Renfrew, thereby avoiding the Malahat (for when the tanker trucks flip over and crash into the cargo truck).
