There was a few anniversaries to celebrate; Me and my Hunny's 7th and pretty damn close to our van's One-Year. So we took a little jaunt to the Island. Sunday morning we headed to Horseshoe Bay (where we had a DeliCaravan with two black L300's)
From Nanaimo we headed south to Cowichan Bay to one of our favorite bakeries (True Grain Bread - http://www.truegrain.ca/ ). From there we passed by Goldstream - Where once again we are too early to see the salmon run.
Then we spent the night in Victoria - treating ourselves to some well earned spa time at the Delta hotel.
While there we found a fabulous coffee shop (Discovery Coffee - http://www.discoverycoffee.com) and upon entering my Hunny says "I wonder if we can get some of those big coffee bean bags and make curtains for Shaun Van Ramen?" After an inquiry - $2/bag got us all the bags we wanted. Just have to wait for some sewing action.
Monday was a lazy run back to Vancouver with a few stops along the way.
Can't wait for these curtains now.

Re: Overnight on the Island
Dare I say discovery is the best coffee in BC? Have to check out true grain!
Don't know if you guys are drinkers, but next time you're on the island and driving from Nanaimo to Victoria check out the Crow and Gate Pub in Ladysmith.
Glad you enjoyed the island.

By all means and my Hunny can drive. For the past 2 years or so I've been on a micro-brew quest. I have the "Go Local" attitude with these sorts of things. Thanks for the recco.
