Yes, must be.
I sign up to a website and forum to receive delica related stuff
Not to hear about other things no matter how noble they might be.
Not that tough to understand.
Is that put into terms that you can figure out?
It's like people coming to your forum and posting about
how to get a cheaper iphone and cell phone rates.
Content related.
Other than that it becomes trolling time.

Okay fellas ~ let's take it down a notch... You are both very good people. Can we agree to disagree at this point? Delica Club Australia is more accustomed to this style of community, let's just accept it for what it is ~ no offence need be taken... smiles.

Re: Contact via email using Delica member emails
Recently, my friends' band CHIWAWA sent out a promotion email with links to their new music. It was sent to a few hundred radio production directors. One of the band members made a mistake and used CC instead of BCC. This exposed the email addresses of the entire mailing to all of the recipients. This is very poor behavior online; you should always use BCC when copying multiple strangers. If even one person on the recipient list has spyware on their computer, every addressee will end up on spam mailing lists.
Anyway, it was a fiasco. Irate producers reply-all'd berating the band and swearing never to give them air play. Someone started a Facebook page called "I Hate CHIWAWA". The problem was, while some people were quite seriously upset, there really wasn't that much to be upset about and good humor won in the end. Instead of the band looking bad, the whiners did and everyone laughed it off. By the end of the day, the whole affair had gone somewhat viral and turned into an accidental promotional success. CBC radio was interviewing CHIWAWA about it, and I think they actually got their singles on the air as a result.
The moral of the story is ... Firesong suck it up and stop making a big deal out of a bloody email. I remind you that you could have avoided all of this by clicking "Delete" once.

Or maybe you should stop worrying about what Firesong makes deals - big or little - about... You could just pan threads you don't like...RichD wrote:

At least I contribute something more than flippant remarks.

Re: Contact via email using Delica member emails
So hard to hold my tongue on this, Konadog is right, I really should just be panning this tread as I have nothing constructive to add, but....
Firesong, you gotta admit you stepped in it a little by going off on a request (even an unsolicited one) by a fellow broad member to help fight cancer. Seriously, receiving a request from a fellow board member to support a charitable cause that they are directly involved in is not akin to spammer sending you info about cellphone sales. I hate spam as much as the next person, but this member's request (even if he is an aussie ), is really no different than going door to door soliciting donations. It may be annoying to some, but you really have to temper that annoyance with the realization that this person is giving up their time to help make a difference in the world, they aren't trying to make a buck off you with a cheap cell phone.
My advise, unsolicited as it is, make a quick short full apology along the lines of "Opps, my bad", instead of "Sorry, kind of, but really do not send me e-mails...."
Being mean to people that are raising money for cancer is like beating up on Santa Claus. Sure he may annoy you by showing up earlier and earlier ever year, but for god's sake it is Santa Claus kids love him.

Adam haven't seen much of you.
But see many people like you.. keep your nose out of it.
This thread would have died a long time ago.
Except for you.
And yes, I expect you to post after this.
Your that type.

You're right, I am the type I'm not sure if you saw the time stamps, but I'm not the only person commenting on this thread. I think I kept the thread going for all of 30 minutes. Opps, my bad......(see it is not so hard)
