Where to get Drive Belts for L400?

Post by Mr. Flibble »

I know I can drive up-island to visit Coombs Country Auto to get belts and get them installed for my L400 - but I don't have the time to drive up there at the moment, and I am certain I can grab equivalent belts at Cambodian Tire.

What I can't seem to figure out is the belt sizes and how to install them. (I have installed belts on other engines, so it is not a big mystery for me, but I would like to know if there are any caveats I should be aware of.)

Mr. Fibble,

A good place for information...

I pickup a good amount of stuff like this a the local Napa or Lordco. I tend towards Napa myself. They cross the numbers if you ask nicely. ;)
As for changing them I've got no advice. I've done my Pajero Alternator, but my belts were great on it so I didn't. I'm not sure if I'd have to remove the fan in order to get new ones on.

Hope that gives some help.

Cheers,
PJ

By fan belts you mean A/C, Alternator etc?

The belt to my A/C snapped, so that is the one I am looking for at the moment. Although, I generally like to keep spares of my belts in the engine bay for emergencies.
