The Smart is SOOO much more fun than anyone realises! Mine was de-restricted, tuned and tweaked to kindom come. Loved the mid-range acceleration that really shocked most drivers! One car I really, really, really regret selling!
The Barchetta - a true slice of Italian style. Fun, reliable, economical and pretty rare in the UK.
But the best has to be my Z1! Little heard of and very underestimated (I don't think there are ANY in Canada and only two in the States!!).....a true modern classic which still looks fresh & modern even today! Park it next to a Z3 or Z4 and see which looks the most dated? (you have to see this in the flesh to truly understand how stunning it is!) An absolute blast to drive....very rewarding to drive hard......and need I mention those doors?? I've not driven it for a few years because I've been too busy playing with Delica's, getting the house sorted and starting a business - but this (possibly along with the Mystery Machine) will be with me for a very VERY long time!! Can you believe that this car is 20 years old now?
Boy do I love motors!!
Me too. I also note that the first Fiat Barchettas will turn 15 soon.loki wrote:Hey I watch Top Gear so I have at least heard of most of those :)
Actually, VW was producing the first mini van (micro bus) in the late 40's early 50's - Very, very cool61 Econoline was the first real minivan.
