Windshields Available in Calgary

Post by WindshieldGuy »

Hello,

My name is Derek and I manage a glass shop in Calgary. I had a fellow come into my shop a couple of months back and we replaced a windshield for him in his 1991 Delica van. He was very pleased with our service as he indicated that traditionally he and his fellow Delica owners had difficulty tracking down windshields for the Delica. We charged him around $550 with installation and we had the part in stock (we sometimes stock a number of uncommon parts). Our customer at the time indicated that there were no other shops in Calgary that had the part available and that his only other option for windshield replacement was to have one shipped in from Vancouver which would have cost him over $1,000. The Delica owner then suggested that I post our experience on the Delica.ca forum and inform folks that we have Delica windshields available at a reasonable price as he seemed to think that this would be helpful for other members.

I still have a handfull of these windshields available. If I find that we start doing Delicas on a more regular basis, I also have the ability to order more of these windshields in bulk and get even better pricing in the future. We have done a number of Pajeros in the past as well.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at derek@dynasty-autoglass.com.

Thanks

Hi, thanks for posting

I am in Calgary and will need a new windscreen for my 93 L300 soon.

I am leaving for a month-long road trip in a few days, so I will check in with you in September/October if I need the glass replaced.

Welcome to the forum

Do you have L400 windshields as well? I might be able to make one more winter, so it is not urgent, but it would be great to know of a place that stocks and is comfortable with L400's.

We have windshields available for the L300's, but I do not currently have access to the L400's. I'm going to put it on my order list for our nxt shipment if I can an will try to have some shipped in. As such, I won't have access to the L400's for a least the next couple of months. I'll dig into this issue an do my best to track down some glass. I'll post a reply on this thread if I have any luck finding the L400's for a reasonable price.

This is a bit of an older thread, and I don't need a windshield yet, but I thought I'd post and see if there are now l400 windshields available in calgary.

I'm the new owner of the van that used to belong to Craig up in Leduc.

Windshields Available in Calgary

Trying to bring this forum back from the grave, wondering if there are any L300 high roof windshields in stock around Calgary?
My rear hatch windshield recently broke and I'm in need of a replacement. Would also be interested in a front windshield as mine already has a couple cracks and its just a matter of time before its unusable.

I've already contacted a couple jdm parts shops around Calgary with no luck. Rising Sun roughly quoted me $350 for the windshield + $400 shipping in a wooden crate. No luck at Coombs, and left a message with Mardy at Amazing Auto.

I will keep this forum updated!

Additionally, if anyone else in Calgary/Edmonton is in the market for new glass, please let me know as shipping costs could be significantly reduced for both of us.

Front and rear windscreens are all the same whether high- or low-roof. The US market* Mitsubishi Van and Wagon use the same glass, so that might give you some other options.

*Yes I know Canada isn't the USA. Sorry.
