I just had my oil changed while travelling (a sketchy shop did the work because I was done driving on 5-W40 at 35 degrees celsius)! I monitored their work closely and all seems to have been done well. The oil levels seem fine BUT it only took just under 8 litres to fill her up. Previously after I put in the system I put in almost 10 litres. I`m thinking the reason could be that I drained the oil overnight and all the lines were clean when I first put the oil in. Now there is oil coating the lines etc and the oil was only given a couple minutes to drain. Does this sound plausible?
Also, My undercarriage is a good example of why not to run 5W40 in the summer, the oil just squirts everywhere! Luckily the oil levels were all fine because I checked them regularily, but just don't do it!

Re: Second oil change with by-pass until
It doesn't sound right.
My bypass system always requires the extra oil
Strange, and I know you will be checking the oil regularly anyway.
Keep having fun!

Re: Second oil change with by-pass until
It's taking more than stock but less than the first fill I did when installing the system. I've driven over 1000km since then and all seems good.
