Preparing to remove ATF fluid and sump

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

Preparing to remove ATF fluid and sump

Post by lettereleven »

I am preparing to change my ATF fluid as I too think its been eons since it was last done (see @shoosty post: http://www.delica.ca/forum/auto-transmi ... -5821.html. Rather than the Red Green method, I think I want to remove the sump and change the filter too.

In my preparation, I am trying to understand/confirm the sump gasket and filter parts for an L400 (series 1). It sounds like L300's use the same from a 92 Montero, L400 Series 2 use RTV goo (at least some people do). I cant seem to find anything conclusive about my van.

I see reference to a AT overhaul kit (seal kit and gasket kit) on http://mitsubishi.epc-data.com, but I am hoping there is a domestic equivalent.

For those who have removed the sump and changed the filters on an L400, it would be great if you could please point me in the right direction.

Cheers.

Dammit now I just feel stupid (again). I searched everywhere but never saw that post. But at least mr fibble had the same trouble.

Jesse, will you be my personal search assistant? Google has nothing on you.
