Sliding door won't open

Anyone have any experience with the sliding door not opening? Just wondering if it's easy to get at the insides or am I better off taking it to somebody?

carefully pop the panel off

looking towards the door from inside, you will see the mechanical servo latch that locks in place once the door gets close to being shut. The sensor then kicks in and the servo turns, pulling the door shut and locking it.

if it's malfunctioning, it will not move which locks the door regardless of what position the door lock is (locked/unlocked). disconnecting it will allow you to open/shut the door as per normal.

Thanks for the input, the lock still moves when I use the master on the driver door and when I use my remote. I'll open it up in the morning and do my best.
I have another issue I may as well ask you about, when I get up to 90K, I feel a shake, it;s not wheel alignment because I've had them aligned 3 times... Arghhh! A fiend told me it could be my fuel filter or oil filter and maybe even my distributor cap, any thoughts?

80-90 km/hr shaking on many vehicles points to an out of balance tire or faulty tire

Ok, but it doesn't shake at all when I'm on a slight downhill grade, and I've taken the van into 3 different places, wouldn't at least one
Of them spotted a faulty tire? Wouldn't there be more wear on that tire?

Not necessarily when you tell them you want your front end aligned.

I would agree with the above posters get your tires balanced. If that does not fix it (which I think it will) then it might be a universal joint starting to die. Tires first.

I'm a little confused, I've had my wheels aligned/ balanced by Kal Tire twice, Japanoid once and West Coast Frame and Alignment a few days ago and the 90kmh shimmy still happens, I just had a look at my tires and there isn't any difference in the wear of any of them

just for clarification you said you got an alignment which is different to getting your wheels balanced. OK so when this shimmy happens if you slow down does it go away and if you go faster does it go away?

Shakes and Shimmys:

First, more information: WHERE are you feeling the shake? Is it the steering wheel shaking? Is it the seat? Is it the pedals? What about the 4x4 lever? Does it shake more or less at 90k?

Second: Eliminate the easy stuff:
- Move your front tires to the back, see if the shaking changes and/or goes away.
- Before you move your tires, check for a bad/loose bearing. Jack up the front end, grab the tire at 12 and 6, try to rock it back and forth, see if it moves. If it moves, it's a bearing, or some other suspension component.

Third: onto the hard stuff:
- Anything that spins or moves could be at fault: bad drive/half shaft, ball joints, tie rod ends, suspension bushings, even worn shocks could cause a shimmy. Have someone give your whole front end a going over.

It does go away when I slow down to 80 or speed up to 100

This type of shimmy is due to harmonics. How old are your shocks? Can you feel it in you steering wheel or in your butt? How old are the tires? I have had this before with customers and at work. 90% of the time it came down to a bad tire ie broken cord, flaw in new tire, old tires (8 years and technically the tire is due for changing).

I have had this before with customers and at work. 90% of the time it came down to a bad tire ie broken cord, flaw in new tire, old tires (8 years and technically the tire is due for changing).
