Marvin was my window washing/cleaning company's transportation, and my trusty Delica sidekick. He took me many places and we went through much together.
Last Thursday, amidst a West-Kootenay adventure, Marvin's life was cut short at the tender odometer reading of 92,000 when a motorcyclist ignorant to the windy roads of the region, came around the corner far to fast and crossed the double solid line entering our lane. Marvin swerved right to avoid a head on collision, took impact from the motorcycle on the left side, then entered the ditch saving my life and the life of the others in my van. The motorcyclist also survived.
He was a dashing, reliable fellow and will be missed.
Needless to say, I am now in the market for another delica cargo van and would appreciate any leads :)

Always difficult to read about a death in the family, and their last selfless act to save others. Good to read you're okay Neil, and I hope you find a new friend soon that will perform the same duties Marvin used to. Definitely unique.
