I don't know if I would get it if I was running the BC trails, but for occasional winching it might be all right. not a lot of good used winches in our part of the country. I've used a lot of the smaller "off brand" winches for various mechanical implementations, (where they get used a lot) and found they work well and last long if you take them apart while they are still new, and put some quality grease in the gears. My 2 cents (till I run out of pennies)
