Keep an eye out on places like ebay for the CY55 NGK

http://www.ebay.com/itm/cy55-ngk-glow-p ... 0782748750

These are functionally identical to the Mitsubishi OEM plugs, but don't cost as much because they say NGK and not Mitsubishi on them. If you want OEM ones you can order them from a Mitsubishi shop. It will cost more and take some time to arrive.

Last I heard, Japanoid was selling them for around $500.

:o NO!!.. He is asking for the 6.3V plugs, ie: GREEN TOPS, not the 11V which is what the CY05/CY55's are. The only thing correct about the statement is NGK are the OE suppliers for Mitsubishi.
This is the kind of misinformation thats frying peoples ECU's, and making money for the local scammers....er, sorry, I mean dealers.

Thanks again lrp374.

J Crusiers had everything I needed. Ryo was great to deal with, recommend their service. Totally forgot I've ordered from them before.

Hummm... those look interesting sigurross. Haven't seen that one before.

Until you get 100% confirmation I wouldn't use ANYTHING but the Mitsu OEM green tops .... I have the part number here somewhere ...

Lots of posts detailing the pickiness of this glow plug control circuit.

The oem part# is MD092392 I believe.

If I decide to try the etecno1's out I'll let everybody know how they work.

I may try the ngk 2161's first though, very reasonably priced alternative. I do believe the are 6v and confirmed to work. I have a hard time stomaching the cost of the Mitsubishi oem
