Tire size for L400

Tire size for L400

I've got 235/75/15 on my van now, with an aftermarket wheel that has less offset than factory wheels (more dish)
There's a set of tires for a good deal, but they are 30/9/15. How does that compare size wise? I checked a converter thing on the internet, and it said 235/75/15 are a 29" tire, but I've have people tell me that it's probably closer to a 30".
Anyone know for sure?
