I am looking to build myself a parking pole for my L400. Hiw do I determine the size of the bull bar, and where would one recommend a sort of pipe clamp that would be appropriate but not ugly as all sin?
I am perhaps thinking of putting a pole on each side, although one may turn out to be an antenna, so we will see.
What solutions have you seen, or can recommend with Delica bull bar mounting?

Well, after much Internet investigation I found that "parking pole" yields delica images. However, searching for "bumper guides" yields North American poles, so at least I know that there are options!

Re: Pipe clamps and parking poles.
There are a few available styles of pipe clamps used to mount hi-end off road lights.
Take a look at Light Force mounting clamps. They range is sizes of 1.75" to 3.00"
.Made of billet aluminum and anodized black.
There are a few other options if you check out LED off road lights as well.

Re: Pipe clamps and parking poles.
you could try adel clamps, they are very effective, and there are plenty of types available. for that application all you would really need is a standard black one. The other colours denote resisting different types of chemicals
If you go that route, I can give you mil-spec numbers to find what kind you need. the base number is an MS21919 The aviation ones will be expensive but i know there are non certified ones all over the market.
Hope this helps!
