I am just far too lazy to start searching for the location of the vacuum solenoids for the 4WD system. I got the blasted flashing green and now yellow indicator lights when I am in 2WD oh and to top it off the ABS light stays on too! Thinking a vacuum leak has occurred somewhere.
They stop flashing when 4WD is engaged and yes the 4wd does work...as an added bonus of confusion the ABS light goes out while in 4WD. Hence my thought for a possible vacuum leak.
It all started when i got trapped in some axle deep corn snow. I got out but once I disengaged 4WD I was rewarded with flashing lights.....'aw hell no' was my vocal reaction. What new fun is this!
So now I need to test the system starting with the solenoids, if I only knew where they were located.
Signed: oblivious and slightly annoyed.

Hey man. Thankful to have a delica today? I haven't seen this much snow in a long time.
I too am having the flashing stupid select problem. The solonoids are on the firewall, drivers side under the fuse box. They have a blue and yellow dot on them. Replacement is about $200! I am just waiting and saving my nickels so I can change it when it gets warmer. Until then I threw some cardboard over the annoying flashing. Good to know someone near me is having the same issues, well not good but you know what I mean.

Oh yeah, and my abs has not worked since I got the van. Coombs basically ripped it all apart and couldn't solve the problem. I just got them to pull the bulb. Problem solved. Well, not really. Who needs abs anyways.

My stuff all worked fine until the corn snow incident. I am determined to fix it. Its probably something simple, just takes time to trace.

Search around on MDOCUK or delicaclub. The system is not that complicated.
Mine flashed forever until I got under the car and moved the actuator back and forth
Also, the solinoids are just 1 normally open and 1 normally closed. A walk through a scrapyard or a good search on amazon should net you what you need well under $200.

ABS?? Fancy!!! Either I don't have it or it never worked, no light on or anything. Any way to tell if I should have it? Look for an ABS control module , lines will route to it from the master cylinder. It houses the ABS isolation and dump valves. In reality a big aluminum brick with break lines in and out
