Basic service schedule?

Post by torchard »

I can't seem to find a simple service schedule e.g. oil and filter change, air and fuel filter changes and so forth. Can someone point me...

Thanks,

I created a strawman maintenance page on the wiki (http://wikrad.com/delica/index.cgi?common_maintenance), but it needs some more love.

I asked Glen this same question at CCAutos, but have yet to receive an answer from him. Glen?

We recommend basic oil changes at 5000km , fuel filters every 30000km and air filters when they are dirty . As for transmission all should be flushed when coming in from Japan and then every two years thereafter . Differentials tend to be very good in Delicas and even though the vans are 14-17 years old the fluids are clean coming into the country . It is strongly advisable to change the fluids when first entering the country and checking level every oil change . We rotate tires every other oil change (unless excessive wear is apparent) . Also front hub service (wheel bearing repack with grease) is strongly advisable when first coming into the country as most Delicas have very dry front wheel bearings . Cooling systems are recommended to be flushed every two years using regular coolant and should be extensively flushed when first entering the country . Hope this helps ,Glen
