Gyroscope

I'm waiting for my 97 Superexceed to arrive at the end of May. I noticed from the pictures my importer sent me that one of the three instruments is missing altogether. I assume it is a Gyroscope, the Battery meter is obvious and I'm guessing that the middle instrument is a Proximity sensor. Can anyone confirm that and do you think it is possible to get a replacement Gyro or anyone have any clever ideas that I could use that space for? I'll try attatching photo. Thanks

..EGT all the way.

Several of us have wired in Auber 1812's into vacant pod locations. I simply removed the Altimiter (useless) for my EGT gauge...

Sounds interesting but my model is the V6 petrol.. Will the ECT gauge be useful for a non turbo?

No need to have an EGT gauge for you. As that's not as common, you may want to add V6 to your vehicle description on your profile. This will allow people to know what vehicle they're commenting on.

..v6 eh?, well that certainly changes things...no EGT for you. I will still recommend an Auber 1812 gauge though. It can be configured to be used with boost (not yours), water temp, oil pressure, voltage etc.. small body fits nicely into many locations.
I might do the oil pressure as it has an adjustable range alarm which can usefull.

I like the look of the POD you posted here, maybe I will try and find a Compass/thermometer. But that Auber 1812 may find itself useful somewhere on the dash.

The compass/thermometer shown will only fit in the middle, the side holes in the pod take 52mm gauges so you could lose the standard voltmeter and fit a nice matching pair of gauges of your choice. Maybe voltmeter and either oil or coolant temperature? The standard coolant gauge on the dash is pretty useless.
What's the middle switch in your photo do? The one with a picture of a sperm on it?

Ha ha, I was wondering that too. It looks like a blank. In other Super Exceed photos I've seen, that is where the Hazard goes and where my Hazard button is where I've seen something called ECS, which I don't know what is.. I'll know more in a few weeks when it gets here

ECS is 'Electronically Controlled Suspension' and the switch is used to toggle between normal and 'Sport' modes.
I guess Super Exceeds fitted with sperm mode don't have ECS.......
