Post by LeeHammy »

Does anyone have an suggestions for places to get a jdm serviced. I know about CVI but I also know they are swamped and turn around is slow. Who has other suggestions for immidiate trustworthy service shops?

With the exception of CVI (which I like but the work suffers when they're busy), Werners Auto Klinik is great and I'm going to try RJD next.

I drive from Tsawwassen to North Van every day so I don't really think of the location as being out of the way for anyone. :-D I haven't found anyone I liked in Vancouver despite going to many shops. Pick your locations wisely, some places have high hourly rates. Eg) Midas at 4th @ Arbutus is $109/hr whereas the one in Richmond is $95/hr.

Oh distance is more about having to leave it how I get home. Thats all. Goodnpoint on the location thing. Thanks. Ill do some diggin. I just know some places won't touch a jdm and won't install parts you have sourced yourself.

I always call ahead and explain exactly what I want done and let them know if I'm supplying my own parts. Then find out how much the job usually costs and make sure they don't rip you off. If the company is reluctant to work on my vehicle, I'm reluctant to bring it to them.

I take my Deli to Nishimura Motors - That is where the original owner of my Deli took it.

I have read good and not so good about them but have had no issues. They are a small shop and even for an oil change I call ahead and bring my own product. They are on Marine Dr. near Oak St.
