Additives?

Mitsubishi Delica L400 production commenced in 1994 -- After much anticipation, the L400 arrived on Canadian Soil in 2009!

Additives?

Just wondering if you guys use any diesel additives in your Gen1's?
I like to use Stanadyne in my diesel Jetta. Any thoughts?

I use Amsoil Diesel Additive and Amsoil Cetane Boost mixed 50/50 in a jug. I put 30mls per quarter of a tank empty. My van loves it. Gives it a little extra pep too. I also run the two stroke oil in the winter time.

I think the general consensus was using something was better than not at all. I pop in a bit of 2 stroke oil. Tons of good stuff from work and a bit of seafoam each time.

I thought Seafoam was only recommended once-in-a-while since it dries out the seals!?

Additives?

I didn't think there was a definite 'dries out the seals' consensus. We run it in all our motors from bobcats, kubota tractors and mowers... Trimmers. Keeps everything running nice.

Seems to keep injectors clean too.

I figure since I'm religious with the 2 stroke oil things should be good.

I don't know that it is, if that's not a concern, I may start doing it myself. 2-stroke oil does work wonders as well. I also find that if I dump in a bottle of Amsoil additive now and then it really improves the fuel economy. Have you ever calculated the additional cost per fill of all the extra's you add? It's possible to get too carried away and end up just wasting money.

Additives needed, as new diesel has low-sulpher so lacka lube for our old engines. Try to NOT have any alcohols in the lube, that just removes the expensive lube from the moving parts of the engine.

Additives?

I'm lucky in that I have cases of premium 2 stroke oil and cases of seafoam. Doesn't cost a thing ;) I do use my vehicle for work too so the boss doesn't mind. It works great in the winter. No problems with diesel in the extreme cold with a bit of seafoam.

On the can it says its pure petroleum and lubes as well.

How much 2-stroke oil do you guys use? I currently use a splash of Diesel Kleen+cetane boost every tank and seafoam about once a month.

I use 200ml a tank. Just the Crappy Tire outboard stuff.

Guess I been mixing a bit rich. I only use it in the winter though, so that makes up for the high potency.

Additives?

I dont have a formula, just use the little bottles or the mixtures in the squeeze bottles. That makes more sense before I read what I typed.
