Hello all,
I am guessing over the last week or so the sealant on my rear diff has decided to let go. I have read over the manual and it seems like a full day of backyard mechanics. Has anyone ever done this before? Any tips or tricks?
My plan is to drain the oil, drop the drive shaft, undo the bolts holding it on. Clean any old sealant off and any other crud. reseal and bolt it all back up. Or does anyone know if I have to pull the drive shafts to reseal it?
Thanks,
Russell

Where's it leaking? Has anything been done to the diff lately?

Re: Rear Diff leak
I think its leaking around the splitline but haven't had a chance to crawl under and take a look. I am gonna do it this weekend. No work has been done to the diff.
