Ride comfort after 2" lift
I've read some people on here saying that after they lift their van the ride is even better than before.... I lifted mine in the spring but when it comes to smaller bumps and ridges in the road it's like a hammer blow sometimes. Is that just a fact of life now or am I missing something? It's a 2" lift with procomp shocks, the standard deal. I'm running 31" tires at 35psi, so nothing crazy there. I would like to install some heady duty torsion bars next year to help eliminate the crazy front end sag under braking but I'm wondering if this will exacerbate the problem... Any useful advice?

Re: Ride comfort after 2" lift
I'm not sure why that would be. I have a 2" lift with procomps as well (granted, it's an L300) but it's definitely smoother now. people say it rides like a Cadillac (not that I appreciate the comparison). The only think I'll mention is that when I go from 35psi to 40, my fuel consumption improves dramatically. I run 37 in the back and 42 in the front.

Big-ish bumps it soaks up no problem, it's actually almost too bouncy sometimes. It will feel almost like an old caddy in the front! Floating all over everything. It's just the smaller stuff, abrupt bumps and ridges that I get the annoyance. Ahh well. Guess I'll wait a few years and go to Bilsteins maybe.

Re: Ride comfort after 2" lift
Try dropping the tire pressure down to 32psi. I ran 31", then 32" then 33" tires on my Xterra over an 11 year period and I found dropping tire pressure to 32 in the front and 30 in the rear did reduce the small bump transfer.
