Hi all,
I have a L400 Space Gear Delica. When I changed my fuel filter, I didn't empty the excess water, which there was ample. It began stalling, the light came on that there was water that needed to be drained. So I did drain it, but my van began stalling randomly, and starting up really rough with lots of black smoke. Eventually i changed the filter again because it seemed to be water logged. We emptied all the diesel out of the tank to see if there was excess water in the tank, but it all seemed fine. Now it is stalling frequently. Do you think I have damaged the fuel pump due to excess water? My battery seems to have less power too, probably due to my excessive starting and flooring the gas pedal to get going again. Any ideas? Thanks, Rita

my guess would be you have an air leak in the system...
not sure how you prime the 400 but try pumping the prime and bleeding the system... let it sit and see if you get air again in it... check all the connections and filter mount...
