So, I desperately want to get an L400 for my family and I. My last remaining hangup is that I don't want it to break down in the winter and me be stuck for parts for three weeks, as it will be the only means of transporting the whole gang, and cabin fever sets on quickly in a Winnipeg winter. Any 'Peggers know of good local shops/mechanics to source parts/service a Delica?
Thanks a bunch for all the help I'm sure you're going to be. You're a good crowd!!

Re: Sourcing Parts in Winnipeg...
Hello Phil,
I have had a L400 for about 2 years now and have never had to wait three weeks for parts. Most of the drive line can be crossed over to similar year Monteros and can be purchased at NAPA/partsource and the like. Anything L400 specific I order in advance and have a few spares on hand, oil/fuel filters come to mind. I do most of my own wrenching so I haven't had to deal with many mechanics yet.

Re: Sourcing Parts in Winnipeg...
Sweet! Thanks!! That's very encouraging. I will be sure to stock up on Deli-specific parts.
But just for fun, let's sat that you're a guy who, due to lack of know-how, time, and a fear of doing more harm than good to his new beloved familymobile, is not going to do most of his own wrenching. Does anyone know where someone like that could bring an L400 in Winnipeg?
