Oil in the inter cooler and throttle body leak??
Does somebody already has this problem?? There was oil in my inter cooler went a remove the oder day and there is a good leak all around my throttle body. My friend told me last night that it can be the seals on the turbo that it can leak?? I will send picture tonight.

Re: Oil in the inter cooler and throttle body leak??
Oily residue and small amounts of liquid oil in the intercooler is very common on our diesels. Oil/Fuel vapor mist from the crankcase is recirculated back to the air filter box where the unburned gases mix with the intake air. The oils condense in the intercooler and leave a drippy mess. I remove and clean my intercooler once a year with brake cleaner to wash the oils out I also remove the sensors and clean them separately. Brake cleaner dries fast too so very little fluid is left to mess the engine up.
A leaky seal on the turbo would produce lots of oil to the point where the engine can run-away because the oil acts like diesel fuel and the reaction is self sustaining...even when the key is shut off. Worst case problem of course.
There are various oil-catch cans that allow the vapors to drop in temp and drop out in the can instead of your intercooler system. Look it up online.
If your turbo is leaking there are options like rebuild kits, rebuilt turbos or new turbos if you have deep pockets.

I changed my valve cover gasket and cleaned the engine today. I will see where is the leak. I talked with Steven from Rising sun and told me that I can't rebuilt my turbo by myshelf. Because the turbo need to be calibrated and align ect.....

I have never had to rebuild a turbo myself but the overall process is quite similar for small turbos regardless of what they are attached to. But if there s damage on the fins of the turbine it would be impossible to balance at home. I wonder what Steven meant by calibration.....hmm.
I would question the quality of some rebuild kits, hard to know which is best.
