Do we have 1"x1" (25mmx25mm) square aluminum bar with plastic connectors like shown here:

I'm mostly interested in the connectors because this sounds like an easy and cheap way to make a camping platform

That aluminum can be found from most metal suppliers. In the link you provided it says the bought it bulk and cut to suit. For the connectors Google the crap out of the web and call around. Start at where you source the aluminum, asking for ideas.

Try the Metals Supermarket in Lake City Burnaby. They have all sorts of alum, steel etc cut to any size, and plastic end caps too. On line metal orders are more expensive than over the counter. Min order $20.

Thanks for the suggestions - i dont know if I will do this vs wood yet, but I imagine it would be lighter and easier to remove?
