back up bulb type

Post by delica 304 »

I want to replace my back up bulbs with LED's, but I can't identify the part number. Does anybody know what it is off hand? Is it an 1156 or 1157?
Thanks

It should be 1157, single filament. 1156es are dual filaments, for both taillight and brakelight. 1157s are bright for brakelight (or backup) only.

You got it backwards. 1157 is dual, 1156 single. I have no idea what the Deli uses.

it is a single filament for the reverse bulb, so it would be an 1156. This is what I am looking at:

Actually I went to Lordco the other day and saw some 1156/1157 "360 degree LED". They are expensive though, @ $16 buck a pop.

Cheaper than $30.00 from Superbright LEDS, I think I may be going to Lordco today

Well, we WERE talking about backup lights :-D That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

BTW, for my daytime running lights I'm using 1157 LEDs and the "bright" filament isn't bright enough to be useful as a backup light. Green1's LEDs are better but still no great shakes.
