hey just a question, is this still going to happen? I just bought my 91 pack mule and would like to meet other people who joined this prestigious pack mule club. I will even offer to buy the host a large or XL coffee of their preference for organizing said event.....what about a may long camping caravan from Calgary to Mclean creek or indian graves? Just some thought...

I have finalized the date for the Delica/Mitsu Tech night.

It will be saturday April 25 with a 4pm start.

I have room for 2 vehicles at a time in the garage plus a 2 car cement pad on the side. I'm doing some light updates, fuel filter change, wheel bearing setup and if time permits a front brake pad prep and swap.

If you plan on coming out send me a PM and you will get the address in response.The house is not far from Market Mall in NW Calgary.

So no-one is attending other than a few friends with their JDM Toyota 4x4s....hmmm.....i thought at least a few L400 owners might show up.

Here's what I am gonna cover on my L400 (Gen 1)
Front suspension checking.
Front brake pads remove/replace, caliper clean/lube
Front hub bearing adjustment.

If time allows,
rear pinion seal replace
Rear tranny output seal
Fuel filter change (diesel)
How to test glow plugs with a battery charger or an ohm meter.

My Delica is still about a month or so away from being in Cowtown, but I did plan on swinging by and meeting some other owners. Problem is that I now find myself with 4 tickets to Game 6 vs. the Canucks. If the series ends on Thursday then I'll be on the Maybe list.

In any case, Big Bird it sounds like we live quite near each other, so once my rig is in town we should meet up for a coffee.

Unfortunately I've been called in to work a show. However I'm hoping that I'll be able to swing by for a bit with or without the deli to say hi and meet a few people.

Aside from my own unit only one other Delica made a showing...if it wasn't fo the newer Montero and by buddy's Toyota VX80 it would have been a dead showing.

Not sure what happened to the persons who confirmed their attendance but you have your reasons. There wasn't as much interest as I thought..too bad. Probably won't offer this again for a while if ever.

BB Too bad, same problem here on the coast with the last swap/deli meet. I'll try to set one up late this summer, hopefully more delis show.

It wasn't a total waste. Kurtis was the one who showed and we did demonstrate some things for his benefit.

Would have been better if more had shown up. We had a Toyota Lancruiser VX (yeah one of those nice big Toyota JDM units. We were gonna do a brake job and show people what to look out for....and yeah we had deli on stands to compare with.

I was really hoping to get some things done on mine and maybe have a few others work on theirs too.

I will try one more time but if its a poor showing that will be the last one.
