Hey
Running General Grabbers (mud and snow) on my L400 and love them. Great in the snow.

Yes I’m running those exact ones during the summer. (A/T 2’s ). But looking for a straight up winter tire.jamieboycowtown wrote:Hey

Can you stud those?
I’m guessing you’re in Calgary?

I run Nokian Kakkapelita8 on my Honda Fit (much different than our vans) and we love it. They feel super safe on icy roads (Manitoba). They come factory studded. I think one stud is missing after two years. The studs are still super sharp and pointy. Tires are noisy when you go slow but decent at highway speed. Also does not damage drive way or garage.
Almost makes me look forward to the next blizzard.

I have the Perelli Scorpion Ice & Snow on my Deli. Still a bit of slip here and there but overall much better grip than my all season geolanders.

I'll be installing winters real soon too.
Was hoping that the Geolanders it came with would get me by this winter
but after the first 6" snowfall they are certainly NOT OK!
Couldn't get away from a stop sign in 2wd, van went sideways at 80km/h on the highway
Kept it out of the ditch, but let's not do that again!!
Don't want to keep it in 4wd 'till April so, winter tire shopping I will go.
Would love to find a set on rims, but that seems unlikely...
unless, this set off a '98 Pathfinder work. 6 bolt 15", otherwise I have no idea if they'll fit.

Anyone have any ideas for aftermarket rims?

Ha yes! The wife had a pathfinder. Those were special rims and the door sticker requires a special size. It sounds like you have them. As far as I know Yokohama Geolanders were the only ones available and made in that specific size! The year of the pathfinder is relevant to the rim and tire. If it came directly off a pathfinder (I think it was 98 or 99, it was halfway though one of those years ), with those rims and those tires then you’ll only find that brand!
You can take the rim and do what ever size you want but I’m just saying Geolanders and pathfinders are one in the same!
Unless your gonna get a factory rim off another Delica it’s hard to find an aftermarket rim. They are out there.....somewhere

I have the Grabbers as my summers. They are OK in snow, but I have Hankook Winter i Pike as winters. There is truly no comparison. The reason I got the Grabbers as summers is the reason (I feel) that they don't make good winters; longer lasting, harder rubber. The Hankooks have much softer rubber, decently big lugs, crazy siping, (effectively none on the grabbers) and I have them studded. I live in an area where I'm just as likely to have two feet of snow, 20 mm of rain, black ice or all three at the same time. Hope that helps.
