Hello all,
We are recent delica owners! We previously drove a toyota 4x4 extended cab truck (also a great vehicle), but a recently became a family of three. Climbing into the back of the truck was not very comfortable so we started checking out our options. We love camping and hiking alot and considered a VW van, until we stumbled on to the delica van. Although it's not camperized, a few modifications here and there such as a bed in the back and maybe a tarp for an awning - presto! Also love that they are 4x4, handy for the mountain and the occassional access up logging roads to hiking trail heads. We are looking forward to the lifestyle that owning a van offers (no more tailgate diaper changes), and are looking forward to this year's camping season with our daughter.

Hey, welcome to the forum! You're gonna love your new bus. I am coming from both a vw bus and Japanese 4x4 truck - delicas are a great mix of the best of both. For camperizing ideas check out "methods for sleeping in a deli" in the general discussions forum. I'm hoping to get on that project in the next week or two myself and am grateful to TardisDeli for the pictures of a rear storage / bed arrangement. A great guide! Enjoy your camping adventures DWP

Happy Day!
