condensation in headlight - problem?

I noticed condensation over the high beam lens on one side. (I've got the projector style units). Should I be concerned? Or should I just let the heat from the lamp take care of it?

My guess is that the light that you have is not the Depo brand. Depo and the original light has a rubber gasket in the cap that covers the back of the light, missing in the other brand. You would be better of taking the light out and sealing it or transfer the original caps to this fixture. While you have the light out, I would also go over they wires and look for burns etc as the are common on this series of lights.

These have the gasket. In fact they fit so tight they are brutal to remove (I've had them off to replace the bulbs). I suppose I'll take it out, dry it out, and ensure the cap is well sealed.

Still, is there an issue with moisture in there beyond long term corrosion?

Corrosion shouldn't be an issue, and I've seen plenty of Fords and Chevs with their headlamps nearly 3/4 full of water... not that you'd want to wait until yours were that full.

Some headlamp assemblies have a tiny drain hole at the bottom, check to see if that is plugged up with gunk.
