What's the pointy thing...

behind the DeliCA banner on this website? I was thinking that it would be kinda cool to have a pair of banners for my van to put up during meets.

I think it's part of the template for this forum. The 'pointy thing' looks to be 3 of the symbols that are found to the left of the thread titles, indicating new posts and activity.

The pointy thing is actually a face of a creature appears to have green eyes, and an orangish mouth (made up of the buds that serve as forum markers). I installed this phpBB3 template (known as “bluedrop”) before Mystery Machine joined the group and crafted up his “Mitsumaple” and “Delica.ca” creations. At that time, this site was hurting (cosmetically), and the pointy thing was no more out-of-place than anything else on the forum...

We could consider cleaning up the top-left logo graphic, but on the other hand it’s become a fixture of the board – “Hey, what the $&^%! is that ridiculous pointy thing anyways?!?”

I'm sort of with Mark on this one...it's become just part of the scenery now - and give it a distinct flavour when comparing to UK and Ozzy sites IMHO....
