I won't be able to give exact measurements until I drop the tire out of a stock 'set-up'
I am hoping I can either add a simple elbow into the kits to move the exhaust a little or I might just shrink the width of the tank.
This system looks great. I would move the exhaust to a side-exit (in front of the RR tire) just to make way for this (bigger exhaust is on a lot of people's to-do list anyways) if it meant a bigger tank would be able to fit. The gallon capacity in your first estimate does seem a little small to me.

Side exhaust is pretty simple and can't cost that much at a shop, guessing under $100 labour plus a 2.5" muffler.
So are you saying you would like a high capacity tank?
I'd also be interested in a tank, depending on the cost. I already have a hot fox, so I wonder if it'd be possible to get a plain version of the tank without the intank heating. Right now I'm using a unheated poly tank behind the rear row of seats without the hotfox installed. It works well, but I'd like to reclaim the interior space if it doesn't cost too much $$$

Anyway, if we come down to the mainland maybe we can meet and you can give me an idea of the cost of doing a custom tank, and where you think it could fit. But the other parts should be same, I guess.

ok, that will involve a custom location but that won't be an issue just need to weld brackets onto to unibody to hold a different tank.

I should have one or two tig'ed up this weekend and will need a vehicle to design brackets next weekend.
anyone serious about this kit and want a free install??? I will need your vehicle for a few days at least so I can take my time and take a load of pictures for the color instructions I am going to supply with each kit.

I'm in too. What about putting a tank inside the van in the back? I know it will take up precious room inside, and it might not work for everyone, but I have to admit I don't like the idea of mounting the spare on the outside of the van. Would there be any odour issues with this. A nice, low aluminum tank in the back would be OK with me, akin to the engine compartment in my old VW bus (although much smaller). Maybe it could even be covered in carpet to make it more interior-y.
That looks like a very well put together system.
However, there are concerns with using copper in a WVO sytem.
Copper and SVO: "I'm not so worried about the copper but what the copper does to the fuel. Did you ever check what happened to your fuel properties like oxidation stability and acid value? A lot of research has been done in Germany on VO (and biodiesel) fuel properties, and who I consider as the leading experts clearly warn against using copper in connection with VO because of the catalytic effect it has on the VO. The laboratory ASG Analytik-Service (http://www.asg-analytik.de), who were involved in the research leading to the "Rape Seed Oil Fuel Standard", says that just a few PPM of copper in VO will change the oxidation stability... [In SVO systems] with a catalytic metal, I think you have the best conditions and environment for decomposition of the VO, and the effects it has on the fuel properties again have an impact on the engine performance, engine conditions (lifetime) and emissions composition." -- Niels Ansø, Folkecenter, Denmark

I have come across this warning a number of times and even heard a caution about using brass fittings. I am not trying to take credability from your system because as I already mentioned it looks very good. I tested brass fittings in wvo and noticed some obvious change in appearence this had me concearned enough to use SS fittings. Again this is my experience and the information that I have come across.
thanks for the advice, I looked into it a little more and yes the copper might make a few people turn away. Easy solution though, I will be using aluminum race fuel line in the tanks rather then the copper. Little more expensive and harder to work with but worth the reassurance in my eyes.

very possible, you just need to give me the dimensions so I can make the tank for you.
I don't think smell will be an issue at all as the tank is 100% sealed other then the filler neck and breather. Just route the breather outside and make sure the filler cap has a good seal. My filler is in the back of my cargo area and I have yet to notice a smell.
for the free install bit! (not to mention the Landmaster would become famous!!)
