rear hatch interior light?

Post by torchard »

Do some vans come equipped with an overhead rear hatch interior light ? I ask 'cause if I'm doing the sunshade repair I thought this would be a good opportunity to install one. Does anyone know if there is a connection dead ending up there behind the panel?

thanks.

There should be a plug above the hatch, just waiting for a light. If I'm not mistaken, all the vans come with the same wiring harness, so it would just be an case of cutting out the hole for the light, plugging it into the harness, and screwing it in place.

Yeah, some vans have a light in the rear roof lining over the boot/trunk area.

I'm not sure if this is a model thing or a year thing?? Both my Crystal Lite roof models have it ('92 Exceed & '93 S/Exceed) my '90 low roof doesn't but my '94 low roof has got one! Go figure??

As the general consensus appears to be that I do not know what I'm talking about, and cause more harm than good, I am removing this post so that others are not tricked in to following my ill-advised instructions.
