I'm driving a Mac here so can do that in Iphoto - edit-retouch-smudge out plate numbers-export to hard drive-adjust the size and post from there. :M :-D

Probably easiest to edit photos on your own computer prior to uploading (as opposed to using a web-based service such as photobucket). Your available options will depend on which operating system you are using. If using Windows, the built-in accessory `paint` ought to suffice to draw a black box over your plate.

I use Photoshop Elements. Open up the picture, click the little eraser on the left, and rub out the numbers and letters. I think you can do the same in Windows Paint or any photo editing program.

I actually don't even know why we obscure the plate #s, but most people do, so I usually do as well, especially with other people's vehicles in my pix.

I use adobe lightroom for just about everything, genius software really, I use the clone/heal tool to smudge the plates and/or nudity.

You know, that one time, when someone put up a picture of their van after they'd taken the bars off the front - I think that's the kind of nudity they're talking about.
