Re: gas consuption??
a quick use of the search feature will give you oodles of threads and posts. This is a very common and repetitive topic. You may want to start in the FAQ section: http://www.delica.ca/forum/expected-fue ... -3177.html
You are in the normal range, though it depends on your driving style and terrain (city, hwy, hills, etc). Bare minimum you should be getting 400km a tank.

Re: gas consuption??
Currently I get round about eight to eight and an half kilometres per litre in the city ~ ten to eleven kilometres per litre on the highway. However I don't run on gas (while, I might), the van runs on diesel.

Re: gas consuption??
Been averaging 15L per 100 Km city - and 12.5L per 100 Km highway over the past year & a bit, driving moderate, not worrying too much about keeping to foot off the accelerator, but not punching it all over the place either. I keep my tires well aired up too. I've seen some pretty exaggerated mileage claims...I think some people get the math mixed up a bit IMHO. Considering the weight, that fact that is' a 4x4, and full on family van, I can accept the less that stellar mileage for now.

Adam, Stop bragging!
, I might be catching up your average pretty soon!
13.9L/100k? If so I find it on the high side. I've been getting 11.5L/100k mixed city/hwy but I try my best to be good with the pedal and usually keep her under 100km/h on hwy.

Re: gas consuption??
as fuel mileage fluctuates based on a whole ton of different variables, 13.9L/100km is perfectly normal for any individual tank... it's a little high for an average over a long period of time though.

149/Mpg...well...I just won't go there - I'm sure you have a reasonable explanation of some kind.
Also agree with other posters - keeping at or below 100Kmh is seriously beneficial to achieving improved mileage.
Generally putter along at 90-100km but did take a trip to Seattle where I was under time pressure and kept the deli at about 110-120 all the way & back - got city mileage at 14-15L per 100km on that trip. The big brick doesn't like being pushed passed 100kmh from what I can tell.

I only keep track of my diesel consumption, not the veggie oil. The longer the trips the better my mileage, regardless of how heavy my foot isjrman wrote:149/Mpg...well...I just won't go there - I'm sure you have a reasonable explanation of some kind.

Re: gas consuption??
by the end of my trip i'll have a very good idea about the topic...
over the last 1700km, we've averaged 11.8L/100km. best was 10.15L/100km, driving at 90km/h the whole time and worst was 12.2L/100km (at 110km/h the whole time).
speed makes a BIG difference.

Re: gas consuption??
DeLOOKA has been getting 500km to a tank. City/hwy. Most diesel i've put in is 63L.
If I wasn't a MTB shuttler, the van should be able to get another 30-50km or so to the tank. So I think.
100lb bike rack + 160lbs of bikes (4). Plus 4 guys. Driving up Cypress or Seymour Mtn.
DeLOOKA loves me on these days.

Re: gas consuption??
We have only had our van a few weeks so I am still kind of feeling it out. On my last fill I still had a tad over and eighth of a tank, had 500km on the trip odom and put in 50L of fuel to fill it. That tank consisted of mixed highway driving staying at 100km and city. I realize this is not very scientific but seems like I am doing ok.
