on a similar note, this might be a silly question, but is it possible to have the audiostage in the back wired up just so you can use the auxillary jacks etc? Couldn't find any links showing how to do it, or if it can be done. Would be great to be able to use the aux holes and/or headphone holes if something is plugged in back there.

not easily, there's a lot of electronics in there, now I won't say "no" because anything is possible with enough determination, but it can't be done practically.
