Just sending out the question, does anyone have a great alarm installed? I have a viper in my Nissan but what do I add to my Delica?
I'm on the island so any thoughts as to who you would recommend to sell/install would be helpful too. I'm looking for remote door unlock including the rear door.
Anybody have a good alarm installed?

Re: Anybody have a good alarm installed?
I had a pretty decent alarm fitted, it has remote locks, remote tailgate unlock, remote starter, turbo timer, glass break and impact sensors, and 2 way paging (because these days everyone ignores an alarm except the owner, who is usually out of earshot).
I paid too much, and got a sub-standard install though... I'm pretty happy with the alarm, not so happy with the company that installed it (Quinn security in Calgary) They installed an alarm with turbo-timer, but didn't enable the feature, they installed the remote start, but never hooked up the glowplug sensor (so it didn't know how long to wait for the glowplugs), they made me fish my own wire through to the driver's door for a lock solenoid because they "couldn't figure out how"... and their pricing was a bit steep. I had heard good things about them before I went, but after I got home and looked on the net again I couldn't find the good reviews, and just many many bad ones, so who knows...
I've now fixed most of the shortcomings myself (though I still have to play with the remote starter's engine-running sensor)
The alarm is an arctic-start (also known as compu-star) model CM3000 with the RT2W900FMR remote for extended range.
Quite happy with the equipment, not so happy with the installation. (luckily I have the knowledge to fix that part myself)

Re: Anybody have a good alarm installed?
I've had a buggered install before and I don't want to deal with that again...
Remote start is not as much an issue as I live here on Van. Isl.
Anybody recommend a place here on the island?
